Christmas

Christmas... that felt strrange when the nightwatch came in and said merry christmas. It didn't fit in quite. But you had to go up anyway. On the watch nothing special happened, except that me and one other washed the deck. The watchleader said that the deck haddn't been cleaned this well in 10 years. the water that ran into the harbour was black as night. At 6 we had our christmas dinner. Meatballs and sausages and some strange things the swedes eat at christmas. After that we went up to the maindeck. most of us had brought a present which we put in a pile in the middle and played with them. Everybody got a present and a timer was set on a time. No one knew how much time. And then you threw a pair of dice. If you got double you could swap presents with somebody and when the time was up you could open the one you had. Then when you knew what everybody had, we played again. This is where it all got interesting. The girls screamed for candy and the presents literally flew throu gh the air.

Then it was time for some games. we had charades and a music competition, but the big thing was the treasurehunt. Each watch got a list of things you could get poits for, and depending on how hard the thing was you got certain amounts of poitns. on the list were for example a driving liscence, a condom, a picture of the machinist licking his own armpit or a guy with 1 shaved armpit. It was rediculously funny.
